December saw a continued rise in traffic to the site up until Christmas when the number of site visitors understandably dropped as the holiday period kicked in.

Figures peaked on the 14th with 24 brand new unique visitors; the total number of visitors for the month was down on November at only 257; however, the early part of December from the 1st to the 18th was up on the same period in November with 180 unique visitors viewing 1,321 pages. The total page views achieved in December was 1,477; so taking the Christmas period into account, the site traffic would seem to be showing a continued increasing trend.

Over 61% of visits came from Search Engines - 58% of the total coming from Google - 24.5% were direct, i.e. the visitor typed the site URL into their browser, probably as a result of a verbal referral; the rest came from various web site referrals. 

Search terms bringing traffic to the site via search engines seem to be predominantly 'ARDS Instructor' 'ARDS Instructors' and  'ARDS Course' with some results coming from searches for specific people such as 'Brian Svenson' and 'Ben Seyfried' - you two are popular!! 

Through January we will be applying the search engine optimization information we have acquired so far to the site SEO to further enhance the site rating on the major search engines and ensure that web surfers using keywords relevant to our industry find ards-instructor.co.uk at the top of their search results.

These are encouraging figures for a new web site in such a specialist industry and we expect them to go from strength to strength.
